Large print books tend to be about ten bucks more than regular books. With my Kindle, I can buy a book for the same price everyone else does, and then increase the font size. I use 5 on a good day, or 6 on a not-so-good day. The variety of large print books is very limited. With a Kindle, you can read almost any title in large print!

Comment on Amazon Kindle Version 2.0

How about notepad capability like the iLiad? But mainly, better wireless access. The promo states that the kindle won't work in Montana or Alaska. They should add Wyoming to that list. What better market for something like this than rural readers, who have very limited choices in libraries and bookstores. That's why I was so excited when it came out. Alas, I cannot use one here. If Whispernet can't deliver, get another provider.

Comment on Amazon Kindle Version 2.0

Better button placement perhaps, it does seem odd to not have more space to hold the unit without pushing page forward/backward. How about a dim backlight (even if it would use up the battery faster)for nighttime reading...<br /><br />My 14 year old son is an avid reader, and rereader of books (even with school he reads a book a day on average). Until version 2.0 comes out, we're waiting.

Comment on Your Confirmation Email From the Kindle Team

I thought you wanted feedback at kindle-feedback@amazon.com. I just ordered mine this past weekend. Why is a leather book the be-all and end-all of reading devices? Why is even alphabetic print the best and only way to transfer information? We are in a new millennium. Who knows how we will be absorbing information at the beginning of the next one? The Kindle is just a baby step toward an infinite future. I'm stoked!
