Amazon Changes Out-of-Stock Notice
Amazon responded to the difficulties in providing in-stock dates by stating they will provide the approximate ship date via email. They also added a notice that your credit card will not be charged until the shipment is ready.
Availability: Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship the item. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available.
Smart move.
Does this mean orders are continuing to outpace the computer software? Does this mean customers are getting mixed messages and this is a means to control the message?

So, when will I get my order? a week? month? months? anyone know?
Thanks for this blog.

A friend told me a representative stated January - but this has not been confirmed. I'll call and see what they say.
