Avid book buyers gain the greatest savings after purchasing a Kindle. Yet, the Technology Evangelist points out the fudging of savings Amazon presents on their page. Amazon compares the retail price of the book to the Kindle price rather than the Amazon price to the Kindle price. There is a savings between the Amazon price and Kindle price but it not as large of a difference as falsely presented on the Kindle page.

I calculated an average savings of approximately $7.00 per book (depending on the type of shipping & handling). This means an individual purchasing about 57 or more books before seeing a savings.
